Basis of Design:
Product: Whole Milk, 16.5%., Capacity: 3000
LPH, Temp Program: 3-42 +_1 deg C.
Process Operation: Pasteurization temperature
control (by PID controller) and flow rate (by mechanical flow controller in
case of milk pasteuriser) will be automatic. Flow will be diverted
automatically with alarm if temp is below the past temp. Sequencing of
production, sanitisation and CIP will be manual. Detergent addition in the
balance tank and concentration monitoring will be manual. CIP flow rate will be
approximately 1.2 times of the product flow rate.

type outlet and over flow port, CIP spray ball to clean tank during CIP, milk
diversion port, Float and high and low level socket with plug and tuning fork
type level sensors for giving audible alarm. If high level reaches, stop the
raw milk pump and stop feed pump in case of low level, inlet for water, etc.
Milk diversion line shall be connected on top thru no foam inlet to have self

centrifugal type feed pump of adequate capacity & HEAD to take care of
1.2 times flow during CIP shall be fitted with VFD to Control flow rate of
6000 LPH. It shall be provided with flanged motor with hygienic mechanical
seal arrangement. The motor shall be EFF1, 3 Phase, 415 V +/-10%, 50Hz +/-5%,
TEFC, Squirrel cage with class #F” insulation with IP55 protection. The pump
and the drive motor shall be integrated together. The drive motor shall be
fitted with stainless steel SS304 arrangement for cable connection. Motor

New Generation Hot water system
New Generation improved Hot water system will be THE based and will house a
Stainless steel expansion vessel and other safety devices to take care of the
volume expansion and increased pressure making the complete operational
safety. It consists of the following components:
• Tubular Heat Exchanger with
SS316 inner tubes an SS304 outer shell.

steel Expansion vessel, to take care of volume increase of hot water in the

Control panel. Automatic
controls shall be provided to ensure correct milk temperature. If required
temperature of the milk is not achieved the flow shall automatically be
diverted to balance tank with audible alarm and reset arrangement all the
instruments will be housed inside a self supporting dust, weather and vermin
proof enclosure made up of stainless steel confirming to AISI 304 and shall
have following components:
• MOC: SS 304, Duly pre-wired
and tested, & consists of the following Instruments and Controls:
• Temperature Indicating
Controller,
• Alarm/Hooter with `reset’
switch to announce diversion of milk
• Manual/Auto switches for
operating flow diversion valve.
• 7 Nos. Start/stop push buttons
with indicating lamps for process pump (milk pump, hot water pump etc.) &
motors
• 1 No ON/OFF lockable switch
with indicating lamp for incoming supply from `Mains’. .
• PID controller: Temperature
indicating controller showing actual temp and set temp. Of milk.
• Multi channel (6nos.) temp.
indicator for hot water and milk inlet & outlet, with data logging
facility and transferrable to computer .The controller shall automatically
tune to the set temperature requirements complete with I/P converter for
steam valve operations with electrically operated solenoid valve for air
supply to flow diversion valve. • Suitable DOL starter with VFD for the milk
feed pump & Hot water pump for controlling milk inlet & hot water
flow.
• Alarm hooter with reset push
button & indicating lamp for diversion milk.
• Suitable air filter cum
pressure regulating valve shall be provided on one side of the control panel
to bring down the air pressure to required level and to filter it.
