 Specification for ED Plant

1. Feed to ED Plant     ------20000 lph,
2. Feed concentration of whey 17-18%, & 7.2 % ash /TS.
3. De-mineralization of whey after NF ---- 35%.
4. De-mineralization of whey after ED    ---- 90%.
5. Possibility to allow C.I.P for all the product inlet and outlet pipes threw ED from external source.
6. Whey inlet should have the safety filters (duplex) with auto change over arrangement, with feed back of pressure difference.
7. All the valves and fittings should be of sanitary design and of reputed make.
8. All the circulation & pressure pumps should be of reputed make & sanitary design.
9. Control system should be Control room based, preferable PLC (S-7-400) with SCADA, Siemens, two number of PC for operation.
10.  All the instruments should be of E& H or equivalent make.
11.  All the frequency converter should be – Allen-Bradley, Dan Foss,
12.  Guarantee of consistency for the out put mineral profile, based on the mineral profile given for feed to ED.
13.  Guarantee for the concentration De-mineralization of whey.
14. Offer should include the separate offer for supply of RO for the treatments of ED brine.
15. Operating cost per day should be attached with the offer. ED and RO separately. Operating cost must include the replacement cost of Membrane, maintenance, cleaning chemical cost per day. Power consumed and installed.
