The entire construction shall be based on
hygienic principles
with all the Stainless surfaces with acceptable sanitary finish and all the carbon steel surfaces painted with food grade epoxy paint. |
1. Feed
Tank : 1 No.
One no. tank shall be
provided for feed to spray dryer. The tank shall be made in SS 304 and shall be
provided with top cover, bottom nozzle and unions. Volumetric capacity of the
tank shall be 50 lit.
2.
High pressure Feed Pump : 1
No.
A feed pump, Triplex plunger, high pressure
type, in SS 304 construction, with drive motor and Variable Frequency Drive, to
develop a pressure of 300 bar g at delivery.
3. Forced
Draft Fan : 1
No.
A forced draft fan of
centrifugal type with radially backward vanes shall be supplied. This fan shall
be provided with Pulley & belt drive arrangement, drive motor and a common
base frame assembly. It shall be equipped with an inspection door, cushy foot anti-vibration
pads, inlet and outlet flexible connections. The material of construction shall
be Carbon steel.
The F.D. fan shall
also be provided with an Air Filter at the suction side. The filter elements
shall be contained in Carbon Steel frame.
4.
Cold air ducting: 1
Set
Air ducting up to the
F.D. fan suction shall be provided in Carbon Steel construction.
5.
Air Heater : 1 No.
A Cross
flow air heat exchanger shall be provided for heating the air to 190 C. The
heat exchanger shall have finned tubes in GI
construction carrying steam and shall have air in the plenum, which also
shall be made in GI. The tubes shall be placed vertical and the air shall flow
in a cross manner horizontally.

Hot air ducting : 1
Set.
The ducting between
the air heater and the air distributor at the spray drying chamber shall be in
Carbon Steel construction
7. Drying
Chamber : n1
No.
The spray drying
chamber shall be made in SS 304 with the inner portion being the contact
portion finished in the sanitary finish of 150 grit. The chamber shall be
suitable for nozzle type atomiser & Rotary Atomiser.
The main portion of
the chamber shall be in form of a cylindrical shell. The bottom shall be in
form of a cone. The shell and the cone shall be provided with stiffeners from
outside using Carbon steel structural tees and channels. A set of sight glass,
light glass and access door shall be provided on the shell. The cone shall be
also provided with electrically operated hammers placed on mounting brackets.
The chamber shall also be provided with a motorised
rotary valve at the bottom outlet of the cone for sealing during collection of
the powder.
8.
Air distributor assembly : (Suitable for Rotary Wheel and Nozzle Atomation) 1 Set
An air distributor assembly with contact parts is
SS 304 shall be supplied to ensure uniform distribution of hot air for drying.
The air distributor assembly shall be placed at the top of the cylindrical
shell and shall offer calculated resistance to air to ensure the required
pattern of the air flow.
9.
Spray nozzle : 1
Set.
The Spray
nozzles are positioned below the air distributor level and shall be 3 nos.
10. Rotary Wheel atomiser with drive motor
: 1
Set.
11.
Cyclones : 1
No.
A high efficiency cyclone shall be provided for
the recovering the dust carried over by the Exhaust air. This Cyclone shall be
provided with a bottom vortex breaker and a motorised rotary valve for sealing.
The cyclone shall have an efficiency of collection of 99.5% of D50
particles and shall be placed between the spray dryer and the exhaust fan. The
cyclone shall be constructed in SS 304.
A rotary valve in SS Construction shall be
provided at the bottom of the cyclone. A
recycle circuit with roots blower in SS 304 construction shall be provided to
send the cyclone collection back to the chamber in the atomisation zone.
12. Exhaust
fan : 1
No.
The exhaust fan shall be of Induced draft type
in Carbon Steel construction. The fan shall be designed to effectively handle
the exhaust gases at 90 C. The other accessories provided shall be base frame,
variable speed belt pulley drive, antivibration pads, shaft cooling
arrangement, flexible connection along with damper at the inlet and the
flexible connection at the outlet.
13.
Bagging Cyclone : 1
Set
The bagging Cyclone
shall be provided along with the ducting. The product shall be collected here.
An extraction fan shall be supplied for conveying of the product to the bagging
cyclone.
14.
Electrical Panel : No.
A Electrical control panel shall be provided in damp proof construction out of CRCA sheets of thickness
14/16 gauge and painted with synthetic enamel paint .A mimic diagram of the
flow sheet of the plant shall be supplied printed on acrylic sheet. The panel
shall be equipped with fuses, contactors, relays, sequential timer, The panel shall be pre-wired and tested
before despatch. One set of electrical cables shall be supplied along with
panel
