REFRIGERATION PLANT EQUIPMENT
The
refrigeration plant shall be basically for the chilled water system and cold
store . The lists of equipments/items
are given below.
AMMONIA
COMPRESSOR ( KC-6 Model ) – 4 NOS ( 3 working and One Stand By )
The compressors
shall be supplied with following
accessories.

Automatic unloader, capacity
controller

Suction and discharge manifolds
with isolating valves
·
Pressure safety relief valve
·
Floor mounted control panel
with cutouts for high pressure, low pressure, oil pressure
·
Differential gauges for high
pressure, low pressure, oil pressure

Oil sight glass.

Complete driving parts with
belt guards.
·
Base frame, anchor bolts,
vibration eliminators
·
Standard tool kit.
MOTORS OF
COMPRESSORS – 4 NOS.
TEFC induction
motor (IP 55) horizontal foot mounted 4 pole suitable for 415 volts, 50 Hz, 3
Phase, A.C., suitable for continuous duty
of the compressor along with necessary slide rail, foundation bolts etc.
The motors shall be of 150 hp.
OIL
SEPARATOR – 4NOS.
Suitable for
the compressor capacity, provided with counter flange, float valve and strainer
with automatic return of oil to the crankcase of compressor/oil drain line.
SEMI WELDED
SS PLATE TYPE CONDENSER – 4 NOS. ( 3W+1SB
The condenser
shall be made of semi welded SS plate of reputed make including , self
supported MS Frame with Ammonia vapour
inlet liquid ammonia outlet, cooling water inlet and outlet, FRP cooling tower
and suitable arrangement for periodic cleaning of water scales formed between
the plates will be supplied .
CONDENSER
PUMP – 4 NOS. ( THREE NO WORKING AND ONE NO STAND BY )
Centrifugal,
mono block pump with bronze impeller 15 hp TEFC squirrel cage induction motor
(IP 55 ) suitable for 3 phase, 415 V, 50 Hz. A.C. supply. The pumps should be
installed on common base frame. GI Sheet cover is to be provided for each pump.
AIR PURGER –
1 NO
Suitable air
purger is to be provided and installed at the discharge pipe before entry to
condenser. The purger should be complete with valves, fittings and standard
accessories.
AMMONIA
RECEIVER – 2 NOS.
Ammonia
receiver shall be fabricated out of 15 mm thick
MS plates for the shell and dish ends. Receiver shall be 900 mm Dia x
6000 mm Length . Following accessories shall be provided on the receiver.

Charging hose pipe with
connections

Liquid level gauge enclosed in
metal casing

Pressure Gauge
with isolating Valve

ICE BANK
COILS – 1 SET
The coils
should be fabricated from 32 mm diameter MS ‘C’ Class ( heavy duty ) pipes with
inlet and outlet headers and oil drain arrangement . The coil should be able to
accumulate maximum 50 mm thick ice. The
maximum height of the coils shall be 2.5
mtrs. Total coil length shall be minimum
9000 meters including headers.
ICE BANK
TANK – 4 NoS
Approximate
size of the tank 7.5 x 7 x 2.5Mtrs to
accommodate the ice bank coils and to meet the functional purpose of providing chilled
water. The IBT should be in two independent section. The tank should be provided with partitions acting as barrier
and guide for incoming and outgoing
water. Tank shall be made from MS plates, angles, channels etc.
Tank Bottom 8 mm thick
Tank sides and
partition walls 6 mm thick
Stiffeners
should be sufficient to prevent bulging. MS angles to be provided over the
tank, for placing PUF covers. Overflow and drain pipes with valves to be
provided.
LIQUID
SEPERATOR ( ACCUMULATOR ) – 4 NOS.
The liquid
separator shell be made out of 10 mm MS Sheet. This shall be complete with
electronic float valve, strainer by pass arrangement for regulating the flow of
liquid refrigerant in the ice bank coils and sending the ammonia vapors to
compressors.
I.B.T. COVER - 1 Set
Removable PUF
Panel covers suitable for indoor location shall be provided in panels, covering
the entire top surface of the tank in the following manner.
I.B.T. AGITATOR – 4 NOS.
An impeller
type agitator shall be installed in the ice bank tank for water circulation
during building and melting of ice. The agitator shall be driven by 5 hp
electric motor (IP 55), 3 phase, 50 Hz, AC 1440 rmp, foot mounted .
CHILLED
WATER PUMPS – 3 NOS.
Centrifugal ,
monoblock pump 25 HP with bronze impeller complete with base frame, G.I. Cover
etc.
LIQUID
AMMONIA & OIL - 1 LOT
The first
charge of ammonia and compressor oil should be supplied during commissioning .
INSULATING
MATERIAL
I.B.T. – At the
bottom 100 mm thick H.D. polystyrene of density 18 kg/cu m in 2 layers 50
mm thick with bitumen layers.
At sides, 100 mm thick N.D. polystyrene of density 16 kg/cu m in 2
layers 50 mm
thick with bitumen layers.
Accumulator –
All sides, 100 mm thick N.D. Polystyrene of density 16 Kg/cu m in 2 layers
50 mm thick with
bitumen. Cladding with aluminum sheets.
Suction pipes –
50 mm thick standard insulation pipe sections to be fixed with bitumen and
cladded with aluminum sheets.
AMMONIA PIPE
& FITTINGS – 1 SET
MS ‘C’ Class
Pipe, ammonia fittings & valves for inter connecting the different items in
the plant.
WATER PIPE
& FITTINGS – 1 SET
GI ‘B’ Class
Pipe to provide water at different points of consumption .
