Hygienic Engineering Concept

A hygienic engineering concept can be as simple as “washing hands when entering production areas” or as complex as “using metal detectors in interlock with production process”.

Hygienic Engineering  refers to application of concepts by which a manufacturing facility is designed and constructed for sustainable production of “safe, reliable and consistent products”.
•Hygienic Engineer aims to avoid product contamination. Its require deep knowledge of process and product.
•Each product group or process area needs own specific hygienic requirements
•Hygienic engineering aims to eliminate sources of contamination and restrict movement carriers.

Design & Construction must ensure
•Safe environment for Production
•Access & Clean-ability
•Use of Right construction materials
•Suitable lighting and ventilation
•Control of Foreign Bodies, Pest & Air Infiltration, Ingress of Rain Water
•No back-contamination via drainage

ZONING is applied to separate
•Wet area from Dry area
•Dirty from Clean areas
•Raw from Processed product
•Non-critical from Critical area
•Basic from Medium/ High Hygiene
